Despite having studied with Joan Lahosa at the Academia Baixas in Barcelona, Busom can be considered a primarily self-taught artist. He works in both painting and engraving, and exhibited individually for the first time in 1959, in the Vayreda room in Barcelona. He continues to show his work in the following decades, mainly between Madrid and Barcelona, in venues such as Parés in the latter city. As part of group exhibitions, his work has also been shown in Paris (Grand Palais in 1979 and Drouant Gallery in 1989) and Santo Domingo (1980). Currently, his works appear in the most important collections in Spain, highlighting the Reina Sofía, Modern Art Museums of Pontevedra, Huesca and Valls.
