Death NYC (acronym for "Don't Easily Abandon The Hope") practices an intertextual aesthetic, dialoguing with great stars of contemporary art, often in a humorous way, but also with the history of art. On this occasion, he brings up an anecdote and exchange of winks between Maurizio Cattelan and Damien Hirst.

He often intersperses images of famous people - such as Marilyn Monroe, Barack Obama and Mickey Mouse - with iconic motifs from art history, such as Andy Warhol's soup can, to create collages that poke fun at pop culture idols and the culture of idolatry fed by the media.
