Setdart auctions offer curated works at a desirable price, attracting both new buyers and expert collectors.
You will navigate, bid and buy exclusively online. Sales are opened to bid for a limited period of several days so that you can bid from the comfort of your home or on the move.
If you are unable to bid online, or find it difficult, you can attend our auction houses or you can bid by phone. So long as you inform us in advance, a member of our team can bid for you.
1. You need to create an account to bid. You can do this via our website’s registration form. We recommend that you do this before the auction, since Setdart needs to verify your details and approve the account with a code and a password.
2. Navigate through our website where you can find a wealth of art works and collections to delight your senses at reasonable prices. All auctioned items have been revised and catalogued by our specialists who will be willing to help you with any doubts or questions you may have. You will need your user name and password to bid. You will be able to follow the auction of each item live and view your ‘Bid history’ for each item any time. If your bid has been beaten, you will receive an e-mail informing you so that you can continue bidding. We recommend that you are present during the last minutes of the auction if you wish to win a lot. In case you were not able to connect, you can bid by phone and our team will follow the auction on your behalf. There is also the possibility to make ‘Auto bids’, or automatic bids, which consist of entering a higher bid than the current one and the system will defend your bids and bid on your behalf in case another user beats your bid.
3. And finally... Lot awarded! If you have been awarded an item, your user code will appear as the last bidder of the awarded lot. At the end of the auction, you will receive an email to let you know and you will receive a proforma invoice with the amount to pay to finalise the buying of the item. You must pay the amount within seven days from the date of the auction. You can do so by credit card on our website, at the auction house, or by bank transfer. You can also make the payment in cash if the amount doesn’t exceed the amount set out under current legislation.
